What are the opportunities and challenges presented by the delivery of video for TV, web and mobile platforms?

We address topics like key influencers shaping the Connected TV market, mobile and web apps, iPad, content discovery and hybrid TV standards. The business, content and technology of television are changing more rapidly than at any time since the medium went mass market in the mid-20th century. The Internet, mobile platforms, interactivity and plummeting costs for advanced technology have turned old presumptions upside down:

Netflix has turned broadband into a new TV distribution medium;
Time Warner is distributing 32 channels of TV on iPads;
Hulu offers direct to consumer content;
Google wants to become the gatekeeper for TV program navigation (and advertising);
and Apple, fresh from its video successes on the iPhone, may well be designing your next TV.

Topics Include:

  • Smart TV and IPTV
  • Mobile and video apps
  • Market trends and outlook
  • Impact on cable and telecom industry
  • Successful revenue models-who will win and who will fail
  • Consumer electronics trends
  • Who will set the standards
